Being festive.

I hate carving pumpkins but that doesn’t mean I can’t watch my friends do it! Got some great pumpkins from the Blacksburg Farmer’s Market.

Me? I’m just watching football, drinking pumpkin beer, and making lunch in the kitchen. My oh my how the roles are reversed. ;)

Reminiscing on the Pittsburgh trip by enjoying my last bottle of Pumking Imperial Ale from the Hofbrauhaus mug. The instructions on the bottle say you should drink it out of a goblet, but I don’t exactly have one of those just laying around.

The walk home.

Easily, my favorite part about studying at the library late at night is the walk back to my car. One of my favorite landmarks in the entire world are the pylons of Virginia Tech when they are moonlit, just like this.

Not sure if …

This picture doesn’t really do this beautiful red sun rise justice, but I woke up in the entire sky has this beautiful rosey tint to it. taken from the comfort of my bed, of course. Lovely 8:00 a.m. EPO Staff Meeting to get to!

WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

WHAAAAAT is happening to my front door? I ran by the house from the vet on the way to class to grab an article I needed for class and I’m just like…wait, what?? Anyone know what this is?? My door is normally green!

Around the house.

As I sit down to finish out some work for the week and enjoy the season, I wanted to share a few things with you guys. :)

Southern Tier’s Imperial Pumking beer. Tastes absolutely like fall deliciousness.  Nothing wrong with enjoying a nice beer to relax for the evening.  Shout to the fact that this is like the third thing I’ve stolen from B.Ty’s blog. Wasn’t kidding when I said it was one of my favorites! I literally just sent this link to Kristin last week, and she brought some down to Blacksburg with me as a surprise. :) SO thankful. Thanks, KH!

New centerpiece for the “dining room” table. Made the garland with normal black garland, tied in some orange lights and little orange pumpkins, and got the pumpkins from the Farmer’s Market. Just a little taste of fall.

Love these. I get them every year now from On a Whim. Thanks to Sarah & Sita at work in Event Planning for showing me them! I wanna say they are white chocolate covered, but the chocolate just tastes like super sweet pumpkin. A bit pricey but so worth it.

One of my favorite quotes, than an eighth grader inspired me with last week. Decided to put it on the chalk VT in my living room as a little daily reminder of it.  Just goes to show that it doesn’t matter who you are, you can learn something from someone else.

Currently enjoying watching students practice their TED Talks. While enjoying some delicious chicken-pesto salad that Kristin made for me before she left to go back to D.C. for the week.
:) :) :)

On one piece of feedback, a fellow student wrote (about my talk): It’s hard to take notes because you’re so compelling. That was definitely my WIN for the day. I appreciate that I’ve been blessed with the ability to speak well publicly. The flow and thought stream of my talk still needs some work, though, and that was another great takeaway I had from the comments they all gave.

The reverse side. One set of 50 was glossy and the other wasn’t. Not sure which I prefer.

This weekend, I got these sweaters from Old Navy – we’ll keep that on the DL. BUT, I was completely smitten at how I found the VERY last small sized undershirt that matched the red in the sweater perfectly….don’t judge….and it was only $5….WINNING.
